The Mill on the Floss is one of the greatest works of George Eliot. The story goes on between the drama of the Tulliver family, who live at Dorlcote Mill on the Floss river, and the crisis which the two protagonist characters Maggie and Tom struggle with in life. It starts with these two character's childhoods and goes on till their adulthood. Although, it was published in 1860, it captures the reader with its relatable storyline. The novel contains in itself major themes like family, love, home, choices, memories of the past, compassion and forgiveness.
