Perspectives On Language Acquisition

This volume is a collection of papers presented at the "VIIth International Congress for the Study of Child Language" held in 14-19 July, 1996 in Istanbul Turkey. It is a small collection as for as proceedings' volumes go but it is, we believe, a good representative of the variety of papers presented and issues discussed at the conference. And in line with the spirit of International Association for the Study of Child Language and its triennial conferences, it represents work on a fair sample of languages, including Arabic (Palestinian), Chinese, Croatian, Dutch, English (American, British and Canadian), Finnish, German, Greek, Hebrew, Italian, Korean, Mohawk, Inuit, Spanish, Sign and Turkish.
